Bella Ramsey is a horrid choice, she is such a BAD ACTRESS and whilst I love Pedro he didn’t fit Joel either, and Sarah being black when she was a BLONDE haired BLUE EYED, WHITE girl also a bad choice there, funny they didn’t change the BLACK characters of the game to white in the show, yet had no issue with doing the whites to black lmao. Actors weren’t good at all either, I hate they ruined my favourite game of all time.

What I learned form this series, and many others over the past 10 years, is that Hollywood 'writers' suck and cant write anything worthwhile. It always takes a great author of a book series to make these kinds of shows epic. The two clowns running this show we're getting credit where it was certainly not deserved. Seasons 5-8 proved it beyond a doubt.

I enjoyed the show, enjoyed the last season, and try to understand the incredible difficulty of finishing that show in a way 100 percent of people would like it when judging. Great job gang.

The one thing that got me and others, is despite the 90% of show being in winter, windows are wide open, doors and walls are made with 3" gaps in them, shutters are open, opened doors stay open while they all make brilliant talk and never seem to be cold.

Absolutely disagree. The "true downfall" of Game of Thrones is that the author never finished the books and likely never will. Give credit where it's due. Had the story been finished the show runners would've continued delivering quality adaptations of the book. What the fuck did this person expect to happen? The moment any story leaves the hands of its creator it is almost certainly doomed to fall short. At the end of the day, they did the best job they could, warts and all. If you want to bitch and whine about why the last few seasons sucked blame the fucking author for failing to finish his own damn work.

The Arzor Ahai thing anoyed me the most. Like they made such a big deal out of it only for it to lead to NOTHING. I mean in theory they could have even made Bran Arzor Ahai too because I think he would have kind of fit the conditions too, plus it would have made him becomming king way more satisfying and way less random.

Reading the source material, season 1 is almost a complete translation of the first book. It was produced with a care and passion for the original story that is apparent - it’s genuinely a tragedy things fell off so badly.

I agree with all of this. Thank you for taking the time to put this altogether. It should be played outside D&Ds houses at full volume. I always use the death of Ser Barristan as the point at which the show began the inexorable slide into mediocrity. Short term shock value at the expense of the whole, with no build up or reason to it.

Man its hard to continue watching from this season to the next. It was beautiful that Littlefinger died. But it feels weird and clunky and only two houses really.

I gave up on GOT at the end of 6. I gave up on the actual books because at 56 and having cancer I will probably be dead before he ever finishes.

Just wanted to say that Daenerys sees the Iron Throne as she does in the final season in season 1. Bran also sees the dragons in Kings Landing in season 6. so maybe the directors had this downfall planned all along?
